Welcome to the ViolaWWW Revival Index! Most of you are probably wondering "What is ViolaWWW?" well I will tell ya!
If you search on google "The first ever graphical web browser" google will most likely tell you Erwise, but google is wrong! 1 Month and 3 days before the release of Erwise, Pei-Yuan Wei released Viola/ViolaWWW, the worlds first ever graphical web browser. Back when this web browser, there wasn't CSS, Javascript, or even an img tag! To combat this, Pei made his own JavaScript and CSS for Viola, And it was the most popular browser on the market for around a year. But then came one you have probably heard of, Mosaic. Mosaic was simpler and easier to use and understand, causing it to fly through the roof in sales, and Viola died out. To this day, a copy of the Viola web browser has not been found, and all we have left is screenshots and Emulators. About the creator of Viola, Perry Wei
